Will is a Certified Emergency Nurse with proven leadership skills. Before joining Blue Jay Consulting, Will was the Nurse Manager at a leading tertiary referral center in Texas. He facilitated the merger of two emergency departments in this integrated health system, and led numerous quality and performance improvement initiatives. Will is a graduate of the Mission and Mentoring Program sponsored by the Sisters of St Joseph of Orange Health System and Covenant Health System, preparing him for leadership roles in health care. He holds a Master of Science in Nursing Administration from Texas Tech University.
Will's accomplishments as a consultant include consistently assisting hospitals with achieving their productivity and budgetary targets and decreasing their left without treatment rates. He has been able to reduce left without treatment rates by as much as 62%. He has also been able to make significant improvements in patient satisfaction scores during his consultant engagements.
Will is an active member of the Emergency Nurses Association at both national and state levels. He is a featured presenter at regional and national conferences and is respected for his education skills in teaching TNCC and ENPC. He served as the 2009 Texas ENA president.
