Jason Moretz, RN, BSN, CEN, CTRN

In his roles as an ED nurse leader, Jason has successfully applied his clinical and management knowledge to improve patient care and department performance. He uses his experiences from a large level 1 trauma center and community hospitals to lead change projects that have resulted in sustainable positive results.
Jason has been very successful in improving the patient experience. Most recently, he improved arrival to triage time by 91%, arrival to bed time by 44%, and arrival to provider time by 35%, resulting in improved patient satisfaction. He also conducted an in-depth staffing analysis and implemented the staffing plan, producing a net savings of over $350,000 to the organization.
As ENA's national Secretary/Treasurer in 2011 and as a member of the Association's Board of Directors, Jason has had the opportunity to apply his leadership skills on multiple national, state and local committees. He has taught and lectured on both clinical and management topics across the country, and is instructor faculty for both the Trauma Nursing Core Course and the Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course. His professional involvement has created a network of colleagues across the country with whom he can consult with on emergency nursing topics.
Jason has an associate degree from Caldwell Community College, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Appalachian State University. He is in the process of obtaining a Master of Health Administration from Ohio University. He is a Certified Emergency Nurse as well as a Certified Transport Registered Nurse. |
