Founders

Jim Hoelz and Mark Feinberg formed Blue Jay Consulting in response to the national crisis in emergency department performance because they knew they could make a difference. Their desire to improve the patient experience -- and assist the community by doing so -- is as genuine as the professional skills they hone each day. Together, they bring extensive clinical and administrative experience to the firm, as well as academic knowledge acquired at the Johns Hopkins University (home of the Blue Jays). Mark and Jim's shared commitment to quality and integrity is the foundation on which they built the practice.

Emergency Services

JoAnn Lazarus leads our emergency services business group. Nancy Bonalumi and Denise King serve as key leaders of our consulting teams. Each is a recognized leader within the national emergency nursing community, whose insight into best practices is enhanced by an active network of clinical colleagues from emergency departments across the nation.

Surgical Services

Susan Bisol has joined Blue Jay Consulting to launch and lead our surgical services business line, using the proven methodology that has led to our success in the emergency services realm. Our surgical services team provides solutions to improve patient outcomes and enhance revenue.
