"Our 57,000 visit emergency department had a mean door to provider time of 68 minutes, a 3.1% left without treatment (LWT) rate, and a patient satisfaction score at the 4th percentile. Within weeks of engaging Blue Jay Consulting, an ED steering team was formed from core staff, who are now empowered to effect change through the unifying efforts of this project. An advanced triage model was created, improving door to provider time by 50%, decreasing LWTs by 72%, and an improvement in patient satisfaction scores, reaching the 94th percentile. Most of all, Blue Jay provided us with great promise to continue to be successful."
